Courtenay Cosmetic Injections

F.A.Q

  • Dr. Heather Iverson provides cosmetic injections out of Clinic 5 in Courtenay on Monday a month from 9am to 5pm. For her next availability, click here.

  • When choosing the right cosmetic injector for you in Courtenay, Comox Valley or the surrounding areas,  take the time to do your research. You want to find a qualified injector who truly aligns with your aesthetic goals and values facial balance. If achieving natural-looking results is your goal, it is important to find a cosmetic injector who considers your facial anatomy—treating individual features without doing this can lead to some extremely unnatural looking results and filler migration issues down the road.

When you’re searching for a cosmetic injector in Courtenay, look at their patient transformations, read their reviews and consider their level of experience and training

  • While every cosmetic treatment is a bit different depending on your unique needs, here’s what you can generally expect during your cosmetic injection treatment with me:

Every treatment with me begins with a consultation to discuss what results you’d like to achieve, any concerns you might have, and a bit about your medical history. This helps me customize your cosmetic injection treatments to your unique goals. If you’d prefer to book a consultation separately, that’s totally fine too. There’s a $100 consultation fee, which can be applied to the cost of your treatment if you decide to move ahead. Once we’ve decided on the best treatment plan for you, I’ll give you an estimate of how much product will be needed and the approximate cost of your treatment.

Before any actual injecting can happen I’ll clean the treatment area to ensure everything is sterile. If you’re concerned about discomfort or if we’re treating a more sensitive area, I’ll apply a numbing cream at this time. Next, I’ll map out your injection points using a skin-safe pencil crayon (and probably ask you to make some funny faces in the process).

Then comes the injection itself, which is usually the quickest part of the whole appointment! If you do have any anxiety surrounding needles, please let me know in advance and there are ways I can help.

Afterward, it’s normal to have some mild swelling or redness, but it should fade quickly. I’ll provide you with  aftercare instructions (and an ice pack if needed!) before you leave. We may also schedule a follow-up appointment at this time to check in on your results and make any adjustments if needed. Please note, I typically recommend waiting at least 14 days after your initial injections to let the product settle properly.
